SystemsLink gave an insightful presentation at the Energy Live Consultancy Conference (ELCC), discussing UN Sustainable Goals, ESG and the role of a TPI (Third Party Intermediary).
Our Commercial Director- Alan Fordham- gave the presentation, which took place on 1st December 2021 at the IET, in London.
Alan commented:
After what has been a challenging time for many businesses over the last 18 months, it was a pleasure to be given the opportunity to present, in person, at The Energy Live News Consultancy Conference, in London. ESG is a hot topic as it is affecting a lot of organisations across the UK. With increasing pressure from society and the Government to decarbonise and achieve net zero, it’s never been more important for businesses to cut their carbon emissions. This has a huge impact on how TPIs can support their clients’ energy over the coming months and years, and SystemsLink’s software hub provides the expertise and tools that enable growth, efficiency and transparency”.
The session was filled with expert advice on ESG, its importance within business for both large and small businesses, with a focus on the UK’s net zero goals, and the increasing investor pressure businesses are now facing including the supply chain and Scope 3 emissions.
It’s becoming more prevalent that both mandatory and voluntary compliance can be a positive attribute for businesses, attracting more customers by having more sustainable practices throughout their operations. This can be underpinned with support from SystemsLink, who can help navigate the data, knowledge, expertise, and requirements needed to create real impact from ESG disclosures.

SystemsLink also had a stand on the day where attendees could speak to our experts about their own ESG commitments and sustainability goals, and were able to speak face to face about how we could help address problems businesses are facing using SystemsLink’s centralised energy hub, UNIFY.
Later that day, the TELCA Awards also took place, where SystemsLink was a main sponsor and also presented the Wellbeing & Diversity Award. Managing Director Chris Lane, presented the winners Tritility, and Marketing Manager, Sarah Donnelly with the award, alongside Sumit Bose, Founder of Future Net Zero. Donnelly accepted the award on the night and said:
We’re absolutely delighted to be receiving this award, particularly in an area that is so important to us as a business. Our region, the North East of England has some of the poorest life expectancy rates in the UK. We believe employers like us, must rise to the challenge and acknowledge that they have a vital part to play in changing this picture.
“That’s why we have a dedicated health and wellbeing committee, whose role is to continually monitor the health of the workforce and engage staff with topics related to health and wellbeing. This runs alongside our equality, diversity and inclusion forum, which we formed earlier this year. So, we’ll continue to work hard throughout 2022 and beyond, and receiving acknowledgement of our work is hugely encouraging, so thank you so much TELCA and here’s to the next chapter”.
Alan Fordham added:
COVID-19 has made the last 18 months immensely challenging for everyone, and wellness and wellbeing is at the heart of SystemsLink and our Group. All the businesses who were shortlisted in the Wellbeing & Diversity Award demonstrate a similar, strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of staff, so we were very pleased to present this award and recognise their achievements”.
