SystemsLink are Proud Sponsors of TELCA 2021

We’re proud to sponsor The TELCA 2021 Awards.

Taking place on 1st December, at the IET in London, this award-winning event highlights the achievements of energy consultants in the UK.

Alan Fordham, Commercial Director at SystemsLink, said: “We are committed to supporting our employees’ wellbeing as well as ensuring that we create a diverse workplace, which is why it’s so important to sponsor this category in particular.

“COVID-19 has made the last 18 months immensely challenging for everyone, and wellness and wellbeing is at the heart of SystemsLink and our Group. All the businesses shortlisted in the Wellbeing & Diversity Award demonstrate a similar, strong commitment to the health and wellbeing of staff, so it brings us great pleasure to present this award and recognise their achievements.”

What are SystemsLink doing to support employees’ wellbeing?

At SystemsLink, creating a diverse workplace needed to include programmes and initiatives that made an impact in our employee’s lives. That is why we have implemented the following to ensure all our employees feel supported and taken care of, both inside and outside of work.

  • Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

This confidential service is available to all employees. The EAP is available 24/7 and there is always someone at the end of the phone to share a problem with, someone who listens with care and without judgement. Employees can get support on a number of topics from mental health, family issues, legal and financial issues and bereavement.

  • Unmind

Unmind is used by many large organisations to provide access to interactive wellness and wellbeing materials and training to all employees. Its progressive, positive approach yields a tool that aims to actively improve wellbeing.

  • Employee Engagement Initiatives

We hold regular employee engagement initiatives such as our ‘Steps for Shelter’ campaign which encouraged people to get out and about walking to raise money for our chosen charity, with the added benefit that exercise is shown to help improve both physical and mental health.

  • HR Support

What’s more, our HR team provide support to the whole business, whether helping employees who have physical or mental health concerns;  providing adjustments when required to keep people in work, helping to manage stress in the workplace or supporting with a host of different employment queries.

  • Wellbeing Pledge

Finally, we have signed up to a number of wellbeing pledges and commitments which mean we focus on promoting an open culture around mental health. We work hard to ensure our culture drives positive mental health outcomes and we commit to provide mental health tools and support to our teams.

Details of the pledges and commitments include:

Mental Health at Work Commitment Standards

The Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health.

How are SystemsLink creating a diverse workplace?

Diversity starts at a board level. Our Group board has set gender diversity targets and are currently exceeding those with an equal gender balance at board level.

Within our organisation we continue to address gender diversity at senior management levels and implementing initiatives that help tackle some of the root causes that exist in society.

We support Women in Business events and encourage employees to attend where possible.

The Group has recently been awarded Disability Confident status by the government. This means we provide an inclusive and accessible recruitment process and anticipate/provide reasonable adjustments where required for both prospective new employees, and our existing team members.
